The light in
your eyes
Illuminates the
darkness in my soul
The gentleness
of your words
Resonates with
care and concern
Don’t ever
remember a time you not being there for me
Where would I
be without your love
Who else but
you could sense the hurt in me
Who else but
you could sense my urgent pleas
Who else but
you could give me what I need
Through it all
you’ve never let me down
If you didn’t
already know
How much you
are truly loved by me
