Voice of Reason (Conscience)
I hear a voice inside my head
Whispering truths I know in my heart
At every turn I take this voice won’t let me be
Even in my sleep this voice follows me
Showing me my life in colored pictures
My own personal home movie
Choices you make there are consequences
Even when you feel no pain
Someone is hurting because of you
Selfish reasons for rationalized actions
Is your justification for your carnage of pain
Only you know in your heart
What keeps you up at nights
When others are at peace in sleep
Demons walk your soul.
