Touched
Once
you’ve been touched by a love
That
exceeds all your hopes and dreams
A love
until now you didn’t think possible
A love you
believed
Only
existed in the sanctuary of your heart
A place
where no one could possibly reach
To believe
in the notion of romantic love
That
another human being is capable of feeling
What you
feel, to hurt as deeply as you hurt
To give as
selflessly as you do
To find
someone of such rare appeal
Is not one
of coincidence but of fate
All the
defenses you’ve built up over the years
Slowly is
thawing away and you can’t help but believe
That maybe,
true love really does exist
That maybe
this time love will live up to the ideal.
