Too Little, Too Late

Too little, too late
Action and words
Take on a life of their own
Right before your very eyes
You see how words can really hurt
A well placed word is as painful as a fist
Physical pain heals but emotional scars live within
Everyday the words go deeper
To find your every vulnerable nature
A seed has been planted by hurt
Unknowingly,
You begin to nurture your spirit with self-doubt
Instead of the love it needs to grow
Take a little time to yourself
Examine what you need to make you happy
No one should have the ability
To control who you are
Find the beauty that lives inside you
Embrace it and find your stride.
