Beneath
my pensive smile
The
worried expression of melancholy
I
wear easily on my face
Is
a heart full of joy
A
heart dancing with pride
Thankful
everyday for having you in my life
Behind
the unexpected shows of affection
My
daily showers of kisses
The
constant reassurances of my undying love
Is
in the hope of someday joining you on that pedestal

now, I am thankful where I am.
