Stoplight…

At the altar of the stoplight

They all wait-waiting for change

Between the red and green light dwells indecision

Brightly flashing its orange smile

Teasing…tempting…taunting

Daring you to speed on by

In those suspended seconds,

When everything hangs in the balance

Do you dare take a chance?

STOP!!!

(As I waited for the “don’t walk” sign to change anything can be a metaphor for life when you’re in search of deeper meaning to your existence. When the ordinary just doesn’t quite do it for you anymore. So it goes.)
