Even today on this rainy day it's a beautiful day
Miss Rosa Parks has gone to meet her maker
A single act of defiance to be treated as equal
spurred a nation on its way to a better place
Courage in those most dangerous of times
When being black was regarded as being sub-human
Took a special person, a woman
Funny how it seems when you want something done right
A woman always rides to the rescue
Rest in peace Miss Rosa Parks, we all thank you.
