Questions from Her

She asks him if he's lonely

He smiles but doesn't answer

To do so would leave him open

She already knows without him saying

There's always been something missing

You're the lonesome poet she says

You wear it like a badge of honor

Join the world of the human beings

The view from the mountain top has to be lonely

The air is thin and you can barely breathe

Come on in from the cold

There’s love waiting for you right here.

All you have to do is accept it.
