GUESTBOOK/ READER'S COMMENTS |
My good neighbor.. She stares out her window the same time every night her body casts a shadow when she turns off the light she’s never known she’s had company we drink together to dull the memory but nothing seems to soothe our grief still we search for that elusive relief when sadness takes control of our fragile souls who do you turn to make you whole Is prayer the answer? Will it help me find her? And what about my neighbor? Will the bottle be the cure? To heal all her ills, numb her pain So she can no longer feel As she sits and drinks alone by her windowsill 6/96
