My Life…
I want my life to make a difference
I want something I’ve said to resonate
To live beyond my last breath
I want the impact of my thoughts, words and deeds
My ability to feel to see something that wasn’t there
To transcend the ordinary and live in the imagination of
my mind
To make sense of this life and see its absolute beauty
Beyond its sometimes numbing despair
I want the ones I’ve loved to know how much I care
There should never be any doubt of the place they hold in
my heart
And for the ones who I broke their hearts, forgive me
There was no malice or intent so I hope forgiveness finds
me
And in the end,
Whatever talent that was God blessed
I would hope I used it all to the best of my abilities
And along the way I made my mother proud
That’s all I’ve ever wanted.
