Morning
Conversation
We will not speak today on the phone
Nor will we see each other in person
We are having a conversation in my mind
As usual, you’re funny and insightful
When you’re not even trying
The beautiful subtleties that make you
beautiful
Are so clearly defined
When I mute the conversation
I find even more things beautiful
That I hadn’t seen before
The way you smile unconsciously
When you’re unaware I’m looking
That faraway look in your eyes you get
sometimes
In your heart you’re still a beautiful
dreamer
An idealist without compromise
These are the quiet things about you love
That makes me fall in love with you everyday.
