Instill me with your passion
Instill me with your confidence
Show me how the other half lives
If I could drink from your well of reserve supply
There should be no reason why I can’t fly
Or at least catch a ride on your wings
My wings will carry you only so far
Says the wing master to the young poet
Find your own voice believe in your own cause
Don’t walk in the path of the others
Let others walk in yours
The young poet has listened
Drinking from the old man’s wisdom
Tomorrow he says, I will blaze my own trail.
