I Know These
Things…
There are a few things I know to be true
Love never lets you down it’s the
people you love that do
Life has taught me that in all of us the
voice of God resides
It’s the stubborn man that refuses to
listen to his wisdom
Only when you accept him as your Father
are you truly blessed
And I know this to be true that pain
which touches
The very depths of your soul builds a
home and takes up residence
On the other side of that pain awaits
deliverance from ourselves
For we are our own worst critics and the
compassion we show others
Just a touch of it would serve us well
The reason why we walk this earth and not
the heavens
Perfection resides with God let’s try
being only human
I know this to be true that not a day
goes by I don’t know
There is something bigger than myself
A power far beyond my scope of
understanding
Is pulling the strings and we all dance
to his voice
The only voice that matters and when you
listen
Something beautiful is being touched if
you stand still long enough
You will hear your voice and his in
harmony
Making a beautiful life together.

(there’s a strong religious theme in
many things I write even though I have fundamental issues with religion and all
it encompasses. There can be no denying even though some will-we didn’t get
