Good Morning…

You were gone by the time I woke up this morning
You left breakfast on the table half eaten
I sat down in your chair still warm from your body
Your kiss you left imprinted on your coffee cup
I drink it and our lips meet again in perfect alignment
Memories of last night come flooding back
I picture you smiling as I am now
And you are beautiful my love
The day can’t travel fast enough until you’re here again
Every minute without you is pain I can’t fathom
But I would gladly suffer its daggers just knowing
When you’re here nothing else matters.
