Empty Arms…

My arms are empty

There’s no love to hold

If I could wrap my arms

Around my loneliness

Suffocate its breath

Until all was quiet

The only sound to be heard

Would be the voice of happiness

Greeting me like a long lost friend

Happy to be home from its long journey

No questions will be asked

Just an embrace welcoming her back.

(I still like to write in the melancholy even if I don’t visit as often as I once did. It just serves to remind me that it’s always around the corner)
