Beautiful
Mirage
By
the light of the moon Peeking
through the barren trees Your
face is illuminated Against
the darkened sky I
can’t bear to look at you You
are far too beautiful for just my eyes You
are timeless, A
beauty that’s seemingly a mirage A
figment of a fertile mind In
search of something bigger than this life But
I know you are real Just
as surely as the winter is cold The
scent of your perfume Still
waits in the cold winter air You
are gone for now A
part of you still remains. Dean
Jean-Pierre (I
was walking home and the moon was beautiful, hypnotic and so these words came to
fill the rest of the night.)
